AuctionCigar.com opens an interactive online auction website catering to cigar connoisseurs and retailers. To celebrate the opening, all basic listings (including an optional 'Reserve Price', 'Buy-It-Now', picture uploads, and more) are free until March 31st, 2003.

February 4, 2004--To celebrate the company's grand opening, AuctionCigar.com is allowing all users free basic auction listings until the end of March 2004. AuctionCigar.com hopes to become a large interactive community where cigar retailers can compete for the business of cigar consumers, who in turn are free to post their own auctions for any item related to cigars.

AuctionCigar.com intends on filling the void left by other auction sites that either do not allow tobacco listings, or do not allow users to post their own auctions. The functionality of the site will be very familiar to users of eBay, and runs on the same feedback-based system.

Cigar retailers, with or without online retailing capabilities, now have an outlet for posting their inventory to a large audience. Perhaps a retailer has an overstock of a particular cigar or is able to obtain high demand or rare cigars that they would like to market to a larger audience. The site is not limited to retailers, cigar consumers and collectors can also post their own listings. Registration is free, through a simple, verified process.
